The Marketing Sourcing Team collaborates with Media & Marketing professionals across the Walt Disney Company to enhance the value of our marketing investments by creatively crafting deals that deliver value across the enterprise and improving the way we do business with our partners. The Marketing Category includes Advertising, Creative Services, Digital, Events, Social Media, CRM, Market Research, Marketing Technology, and other marketing services.
Our team curates programs and content to bring the Disney Marketing Community together to collaborate, network ,and share best practices, and we lead cross-enterprise initiatives that require us to coordinate across all divisions, orchestrating complex deals that account for the needs of our very different businesses. You will report to the Manager, Strategic Sourcing – Marketing.
This is a 12-month Project Hire position without any guarantee of permanent placement.
What You Will Do:
Work with marketing partners to make thoughtful sourcing decisions in selecting agencies, technologies & other service providers.
Increase the value of marketing investments and mitigate risks through smart contract negotiations.
Run RFPs, negotiate enterprise & segment-level deals, and manage supplier relationships.
Recommend best-in-class suppliers & innovations.
Facilitate process improvements and bring partners across segments together for collaboration.
Maximize opportunities by serving as the connective tissue across segments and creating broader opportunities than possible at the segment level.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
3+ Years of strategic sourcing and/or relevant work experience
Complex financial modeling experience
Completes scorecard analytics for sourcing initiatives
Builds strong working relationships across lines of business and leadership levels
Strategic thinker and creative problem solver
Strong communication and advanced negotiation skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams & coach/develop talent
Ability to persevere with ambiguity
Ability to analyze complex situations and develop coherent insights and strategies to maximize value.
Experience with SAP or other ERP as well as Excel, Access, PowerPoint Point and Word
Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in Creative, PR, Marcoms, Media or other marketing fields.
Experience in negotiations of professional and/or technical services.
Marketing background is a plus.
Marketing Sourcing background is a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
Preferred Education:
- Master’s degree/MBA
This position is located in Burbank, CA.

The base salary for this position in Glendale, CA is $103,400.00-$126,200.00. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
