How will you contribute to our magical experience?

The prime objective of the role is to manage Disney tax affairs in Mexico ensuring a strong compliance environment with robust processes in place. It will also be responsible for supporting, coordinating, and executing tax matters of Disney businesses in several countries in CAMCA (Central American & Caribbean countries) region.

The Manager, Tax will be responsible for:  

Tax compliance and payments, ensuring that all returns are properly prepared and submitted and tax payments are made on time for each company and obtaining necessary internal approvals to make such payments.

Tax monitoring: Ensure that compliance monitoring tool is maintained and kept fully up-to-date in relation to all relevant companies and taxes.

Tax Risk Management: Follow up all aspects of tax audits and information request, interacting with external advisers when necessary. Design and implement tax strategies to deal with potential tax discussions with Fiscal Authorities, fiscal audits and tax assessments. Document the risks.

Transfer Pricing: Actively manage transfer Pricing documentation and calculation process.

Tax planning and consultancy: assist Senior tax leaders in the analysis of new businesses and contracts to determine appropriate tax treatment. Proactively seek out and develop solutions to mitigate tax risks and identify opportunities to minimize tax liability.

Tax reporting: Assist in the preparation/completion of quarterly tax reporting packages, ASC 740, ensuring that tax numbers are accurately reflected in US GAAP and local books.

Tax accounting: Ensure that the tax numbers are accurately reflected in the local accounts.

Tax Function: Perform Tax research and appraisal keeping technically up-to-date with taxation developments.

What we need from you be part of this story:

  • At least 7 years of professional Tax experience in multinational companies or in big 4 firms.
  • Tax experience in CAMCA (Central America & Caribbean) countries would be desirable.
  • Advanced level of English is a must.
  • High technical tax knowledge and expertise.
  • Strong accounting and tax provision knowledge.
  • Advanced skills in the use of tax technology would also be desirable.
  • Leadership and persuasion skills.
  • Communication skills / interpersonal intelligence / Proactivity and flexibility.
  • Business awareness.
  • Analysis / problem solving.
  • Presentation skills.
