Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology

Technology is at the heart of Disney’s past, present, and future. Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is a global organization of engineers, product developers, designers, technologists, data scientists, and more – all working to build and advance the technological backbone for Disney’s media business globally.

The team marries technology with creativity to build world-class products, enhance storytelling, and drive velocity, innovation, and scalability for our businesses. We are Storytellers and Innovators. Creators and Builders. Entertainers and Engineers. We work with every part of The Walt Disney Company’s media portfolio to advance the technological foundation and consumer media touch points serving millions of people around the world.

Here are a few reasons why we think you’d love working here:

1. Building the future of Disney’s media: Our Technologists are designing and building the products and platforms that will power our media, advertising, and distribution businesses for years to come.

2. Reach, Scale & Impact: More than ever, Disney’s technology and products serve as a signature doorway for fans' connections with the company’s brands and stories. Disney+. Hulu. ESPN. ABC. ABC News…and many more. These products and brands – and the unmatched stories, storytellers, and events they carry – matter to millions of people globally.

3. Innovation: We develop and implement groundbreaking products and techniques that shape industry norms, and solve complex and distinctive technical problems.

Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney's linear networks and streaming content. This includes Disney's media supply chain, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney's EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.

Job Summary:

Sr. Product Manager (P3) to lead and drive day-to-day product ownership for CPT (Content Planning Tool) and its integrations with upstream and downstream systems, part of the broader Title Origination & Insights ecosystem. CPT is Disney’s central platform for translating title strategy into executable planning—capturing key planning inputs, coordinating release events, and supporting operational workflows that impact how content launches across platforms and territories. This individual will partner with stakeholders to prioritize the product roadmap and have accountability for ongoing enhancement, sustainment, and scalability of the platform.

Key responsibilities include gathering & prioritizing business requirements and translating them into clear product specifications. Working in a cross-functional team environment with design, engineering, and infrastructure partners, this role will help advance CPT for the future business of The Walt Disney Company—enabling big rock streaming initiatives (Hotstar, Delta/Gemini, etc.) and supporting the growth of our Direct-to-Consumer platforms (Disney+, Hulu, etc.) by focusing on AI-enabled workflows and insights, maximizing automation, strengthening system integrations, and driving operational improvements that help teams plan and execute at scale.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Align business partners and cross-functional teams on product vision and strategy; clearly communicate decisions, tradeoffs, and roadmap priorities
  • Own the product roadmap and backlog strategy; connect vision, objectives, and outcomes to prioritized delivery plans
  • Lead stakeholder engagements to evaluate requests, validate value, and propose alternative solutions when appropriate
  • Define cost/benefit analyses and develop business cases for new initiatives and investments
  • Define product targets and KPIs; track, report, and drive progress against goals
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify and define requirements; translate into clear product specifications and user stories
  • Own backlog health and prioritization, ensuring transparency, alignment, and rationale for sequencing decisions
  • Own CPT’s integration requirements and delivery with upstream and downstream partner systems, including dependency management, release sequencing, and operational readiness
  • Drive data quality, governance, and validation for planning-critical fields to ensure reliable downstream reporting and operational execution
  • Identify and deliver workflow automation opportunities that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and increase throughput for planning and release operations
  • Drive agile execution through planning, refinements, reviews, and retrospectives; remove blockers and ensure timely delivery
  • Define and execute UAT strategy (test scripts, acceptance criteria, sign-off) in partnership with product operations and change management
  • Coordinate major product releases, including readiness, communications, and post-release validation
  • Partner with engineering and program management to deliver solutions aligned to product strategy and broader Content Platforms objectives
  • Collaborate across engineering, design, QA, and product leadership to streamline features and improve end-to-end business processes
  • Build and maintain product documentation, operational processes, and enablement materials (user guides, training) to support adoption and sustainment
  • Mentor and support junior product managers; provide informal coaching and guidance
  • Support other duties as needed to achieve business objectives

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive product management experience
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability with consistent follow-through
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, matrixed organization while managing multiple initiatives and competing priorities
  • Experience defining product vision and roadmaps; ability to rigorously prioritize and articulate roadmap decisions across business teams and stakeholders
  • Skilled at identifying key issues, analyzing and visualizing data, and telling a compelling story to senior partners to influence and determine important decisions — including through strong product memos and large-scale presentations
  • Demonstrated understanding of good UX; experience working with product designers to provide actionable and valuable feedback
  • Experience partnering with engineering and cross-functional teams in agile delivery environments
  • Strong problem-framing skills; ability to derive insights, evaluate options, and recommend solutions grounded in research, data, and statistical analysis
  • Experience applying structured cost/benefit analysis and business modeling to support prioritization and investment decisions
  • Familiarity using modern AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, and/or product workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a related field, and/or related certification/s
  • Direct experience working on digital products at a global scale
  • Exposure or experience with Agile development tools, such as Jira and Confluence
  • Prior work experience in content planning, scheduling, or metadata management platforms
  • Knowledge of or experience in media & entertainment industry
  • Understanding of media production workflows, digital video workflows, or consumer-facing video product features
  • Familiarity with API-based integrations or data platform ecosystems
  • Expertise in the entertainment industry (having worked in a studio, production company, agency, or distributor)

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and/or equivalent work experience
