About the Role & Team

Bring your Fashion expertise and passion to our successful Disney Licensing team!

The Senior Manager role will focus on pivotal retail partnerships for both adult and children's apparel.

Your responsibility will include managing a global Fashion key account as well as a portfolio of brand and retail partnerships. This role involves implementing and fulfilling global long-term and annual strategies to expand product category reach across all consumer demographics, thereby driving sales and generating revenue.

Building and maintaining relationships is crucial to this role's success, both within the company and externally. You will manage and cultivate your account, negotiate global contracts, and engage in daily collaboration with your regional and functional counterparts.

This position requires four days a week working in our Hammersmith office in West London, plus the flexibility of one day working from home.

What You Will Do

  • Align with the global strategy to develop and finalize plans for Fashion lines with Retail partners, including new business strategies for each category and Disney brand.

  • Manage the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts, setting licensee objectives and initiatives to foster growth in collaboration with franchise, marketing, product development, and finance teams.

  • Actively manage and enhance engagement and partnership through joint business planning with both new and existing licensees.

  • Assess the licensee base and implement an optimisation plan to ensure efficient business management that supports growth across categories.

  • Engage in or assist with contract negotiations with licensees and distributors to increase Disney royalty revenue and provide guidance to all key partners internally and externally

  • Collaborate closely with regional creative teams, product approvers, franchise, and marketing teams to facilitate product sales as needed by licensees/retailers.

  • Serve as the intermediary for the International Labour Standards (ILS) process between suppliers and Disney's ILS team.

  • Seek out and secure new licensees to significantly enhance category growth.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with Disney market teams, sharing regular updates on strategy and franchises, and addressing local market needs and variances.

  • Conduct research to understand the competitive landscape and analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and the needs of retailers and the industry.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Solid background in fashion buying, product development, or commercial Fashion sales, with a deep understanding and enthusiasm for the fashion industry, trends, and brands.

  • Skilled in initiating and fostering global brand partnerships.

  • Proficient in direct-to-retail (DTR) strategies and consumer product management.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of licensee Fashion categories, as well as their production and design strengths and limitations.

  • Competent in data analysis, drawing conclusions, and formulating strategies to meet business goals.

  • Fluent in English essential; proficiency in other European languages or Japanese is advantageous.

  • Keen insight into digital, social media, and traditional marketing.

  • Culturally attuned for collaboration within an international Disney team.
