About the Role & Team
We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Content Merchandiser Supervisor to join our Disney+ Italy team. You’ll be responsible for curating and scheduling content across the platform, ensuring the service reflects the latest releases and editorial priorities.
Reporting directly into the Sr Programming Manager DTC Italy, you will be working closely with content and marketing managers, you’ll wireframe monthly layouts, prioritize titles and promotions, and collaborate with EMEA and global teams to maintain a consistent tone of voice. You’ll also use data insights to guide editorial decisions and enhance user engagement.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, collaborative environment—ideal for someone who thrives on precision and enjoys working across international teams. You will schedule and manage the featuring of new movies, series, TV and shortform available to the service. You will analyse viewing behaviour data to inform editorial steer and curation of content, and you will help create and maintain a best-in-class SVOD experience utilising Disney’s world-renowned characters and intellectual properties.
This is an office-based role, with four days in the office and one day remote each week.
What You Will Do
Use Google Doc templates to create detailed featuring wireframes of European service updates on a short-term and long-term basis, encompassing Disney+ content drops, editorial events, and key content initiatives.
Use Airtable, Maestro, Content Portal, What’s On, and the bespoke Disney+ CMS, to program, publish, and schedule content and regular service & merchandising updates. This includes weekly service refreshes, new editorial collections, brand and IP updates, and content priorities.
Plan Disney+ editorial events including local seasonal events and unique editorial collections that align with local content priorities, working with the Design team to create appropriate assets.
Ensure that all translation and localization work is accurate and work closely with EMEA and Global Disney+ merchandising and marketing teams to ensure tone of voice remains consistent and local messaging aligns.
Align content merchandising in service with content programming, CRM and marketing activities within the wider DTCI team.
Deliver local schedule planning while working closely with schedulers in EMEA and global and share viewing trends and consumption data with wider team.
Develop regular routines for post-publish content validation and service quality control to ensure all content is published and featured as scheduled.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience of working on a digital platform/CMS required.
A robust knowledge of the SVOD market and close competitors, ideally previous work experience in media scheduling
Experience with Excel is essential, Google Sheet knowledge would be beneficial
Experience with content reporting and data analysis, utilizing Business Intelligence tools such as Looker, PowerBI or similar.
A passion for Disney & FOX brands and popular IP, including movies and series.
Familiarity with iOS/Android platforms and multiple devices (tablets, browsers, mobile, web, connected devices).
Ability to understand larger objectives whilst also able to focus on intricate detail.
The ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt to changing business demands at short notice.
Strong planning and coordination skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships
Fluent Italian and English language skills are essential
Preferred Qualifications
Previous SVOD management scheduling or content programming experience preferred.
