Affiliate Relations Account Specialist
Disney Platform Distribution is a business unit within Disney that manages all third-party media sales efforts for distribution and affiliate-related business operations for all the Company's direct-to-consumer services and linear media networks; content sales agreements for General Entertainment, Studios and Sports; as well as global theatrical film distribution
We’re seeking a highly organized and proactive Affiliate Relations Account Specialist to join our team and support approximately 100 ABC affiliated station accounts across the East and West regions. This role is critical to ensuring outstanding service and operational excellence by serving as a key point of contact for both internal team members and external clients. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and comfortable navigating multiple tools and systems to manage account needs effectively.

Account Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional day-to-day support to station accounts through timely and professional phone and email communication with local ABC affiliates. Partner closely with Account Leads in both the East and West offices to support strategic and operational account initiatives. Utilize internal tools and systems to manage and maintain station account data and activity. Track, monitor, and anticipate station account activity, flag issues and opportunities for improvement.
Team Responsibilities:
Provide weekly reporting across all key areas of station account activity to support team goals and strategic decision-making. Contribute to special projects with a willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative. Serve as a foundational support resource for the region’s Daypart Leads, collaborating closely with Directors and VPs. Assist with affiliate renewal preparation by gathering and compiling relevant market and group-level information.
Sales Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with station clients and internal colleagues. Maximize audience for ABC programs and negotiate optimal makegoods in the event of preemptions. Demonstrate a strong interest in both network and local television programming, with a curiosity about ratings and audience measurement. Confidently present and sell through Network programs and initiatives with enthusiasm. Effective outreach to clients to support local tie-in opportunities related to “ABC Entertainment”, “ABC News”, and “ESPN on ABC” programs. Proactively ask questions and troubleshoot issues to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence.
Required experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a television, media or sales environment with a strong curiosity for the media business and television programming.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and records management skills. Ability to build strong working relationships through daily in person, video and phone conversations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding professional demeanor and follow-through.
Demonstrated proficiency in Salesforce and MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in previous work assignments.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in New York City, NY is $72,500 - $99,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
