About the Role & Team:
The Walt Disney Company’s ABC Legal News and Regulatory team, which supports ABC News and the ABC owned television stations, is seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to provide support for its Deputy Chief Counsel and provide administrative assistance to a team of nine (9) news and regulatory attorneys.
As an Executive Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in managing administrative tasks and supporting the team’s operational efficiency. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively prioritize tasks.
What You Will Do:
Create and maintain reports, including attendance records and vacation schedules for the team
Schedule meetings and maintain executive calendars using Outlook
Book rooms and videoconferencing using Disney applications
Create, organize, and maintain electronic files and databases
Book travel, prepare and submit expense reports and vendor invoices, and track reimbursements/payments
Assist with the onboarding of new employees on the team, visitors, retirements, and special occasions
Perform general office duties, including photocopying, scanning, filing, ordering office supplies, and coordinating with executive tech support
Required Qualifications and Skills:
At least three (3) years of Legal secretarial experience in a corporate department
Advanced working knowledge of computer software, including current versions of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, Net Documents, and SAP preferred
Familiarity with court documents preferred
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint helpful
Strong organizational and follow-through skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; understands deadlines and effectively prioritizes to meet them; good multitasker
Detail-oriented and strong writing and communication skills
Discreet with confidential and highly sensitive information and documentation
Self-starter with the ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible; Ability to work autonomously
Professional demeanor and strong people skills including ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience supporting a news team or news division is preferred (experience in media legal issues preferred).
Legal secretarial background, preferably in a large law firm or corporate legal department preferred
Working knowledge of emerging technologies, including AirTable and other AI platforms.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent

The hiring range for this position in NYC, NY is $68,400.00 to $91,700.00 per year based on a 40- hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
