Job Summary:
We’re looking for an individual to join the Data and Measurement Strategy organization as Manager, Data Strategy Project Management. This role reports into the Director of Data Strategy and will be focused on driving forward all data and measurement initiatives related to Disney Advertising’s addressable business. The individual that fills this role will be responsible for managing the Data and Measurement roadmap and ensuring coordination across teams (both internal and external) to help drive key initiatives forward. This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role that will oversee the implementation of new strategies/partnerships/technical capabilities to ensure the growth of the business and the overall bottom line. The ideal candidate is highly technical and has product/program/project management experience and exceptional communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
Roadmap and Strategic Process Development:
- Work with key stakeholders to manage and execute the Data and Measurement Strategy Roadmap for applicable business units, and partner with Data Science and Engineering teams to size technical initiatives and prioritize work against leadership timelines.
- Develop process for strategic communications to ensure external stakeholders and core leadership teams are aware of in-progress initiatives. Deeply understand the technical development milestones of projects to translate work into concise weekly updates to data and sales leadership teams.
- Map dependencies for development work across various data science and engineering teams, ensuring technical project components are identified and executed in succession.
- Manage timelines for roadmap initiatives and develop strategies to coordinate project handoffs, ensuring all parties are informed on project phases and next steps.
Project Management and Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Host project kick-off calls and define roles within projects to ensure alignment and coordination among teams and stakeholders. Identify data science and engineering teams implementing technical development work and track dependencies across organizations.
- Create system for managing technical projects across multiple teams and organizations that clearly identifies dependencies and project scope.
- Manage relationships with key collaborators such as enablement teams, product marketing, technology and legal. Ensure collaborators are aware of project status and any dependencies that require action/external team capacity.
- Work with product marketing and PR teams to ensure technical accuracy of messaging for key data and measurement capabilities.
- Partner with legal and privacy teams to ensure approval of any external messaging and technical collateral.
Develop Technical Collateral and Manage Technical Operations:
- Work with engineering and strategy teams to create external-facing technical documentation for various data products and new capabilities.
- Assist in the building of materials to showcase how key data and measurement strategies translate into impactful business initiatives.
- Manage and assist in the design of technical integrations with external data and measurement partners and lead the troubleshooting of data quality issues.
Team and Technical Operations Management
- Lead a team of individuals at varying levels of seniority.
- Develop a system for tracking team projects and ensure team members have a concise understanding of priorities.
- Mentor individuals to drive professional growth within the team
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics or other quantitative field +8 years’ experience OR Master’s Degree +6 years’ experience.
- 1+ years’ experience managing a team in a direct or indirect capacity.
- Experience managing data and technical projects and developing strategic processes to help scale an organization.
- Strong desire to solve problems and take initiative in driving issues to resolution.
- Experience working in an agile environment helping develop workflows, coordinate external stakeholders and manage communication.
- Experience with SQL required.
- Experience in advertising preferred.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling and visualization skills.
- A desire to work directly with business stakeholders and understand strategic decision making in a communication-heavy role.
- Great organization, communication, and teamwork skills.

The hiring range for this remote position is $159,500 - $213,900 per year , which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
