This internship role will work with other Machine Learning Engineers to help design and build machine learning solutions—including Large Language Model (LLM) agents—across our global brands. You’ll collaborate with a talented team to deploy ML models, support LLM integration, develop intelligent agents, and evaluate model performance.
The intern will report to the Senior Manager for AI/ML and Data Engineering.
The dates of this internship are May/June through August/September.
What You Will Do
Work alongside DE, Product and ML team to understand requirements and build standards.
Develop, fine-tune, and integrate LLM agents and other intelligent agents with guidance from senior engineers.
Lead or contribute to the development of agents for a variety of use cases within Disney.
Evaluate LLMs and agents using established metrics and user feedback, iterating based on results.
Prepare and preprocess data for ML model training and evaluation.
Maintain ML/LLM pipelines and troubleshoot technical issues.
Document work and present results to technical and non-technical teams.
Stay up to date with trends in ML, LLM, and agent technology.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Solid Python programming and experience with ML libraries (scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy).
Good understanding of Language Models such as Google Gemini, OpenAI GPT, Nova, Mistral etc.
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and LLM libraries (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers).
Understanding of LLM evaluation techniques and prompt engineering basics.
Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Experience building UI, Chatbots.
Familiarity with cloud ML platforms and version control (Git).
Knowledge of SQL or handling large datasets.
Experience building RAG applications using frameworks like langchain, langGraph, etc.
Understands multi-agentic workflows in context for building LLM applications.
Education
Currently enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other STEM related field at an accredited college or university.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization

Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Fully available from Monday-Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week
