How will you contribute to our magical experience?
The Corporate Credit to Cash Department manages the second largest asset of The Walt Disney Company: its accounts receivable through its global organization. The mission of the department is to assist with maximizing sales and cash flow through the superior management of the accounts receivable using sound credit approval and effective collection strategies.
As a representative of the Global Credit Team in the region, the Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for building relationships across the company and externally, and escalating issues to senior Credit management and executives.
The Senior Credit Analyst will be responsible for:
- Prepares and issues credit risk assessments and makes recommendations within approval authority.
- Reviews and approves credit reviews of Credit Analysts in excess of their authority.
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external businesses and markets to encourage profitable sales and minimize risk.
- Works independently with minimal guidance; decisions follow policy, procedures, and Disney business needs.
- Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues; provides mentoring/coaching.
- Makes recommendations for process improvements.
- Oversees specific Disney portfolios and issues alerts when necessary.
- Coordinates with the Credit Team to support system changes or projects.
- Updates Disney order approval systems and internal databases with credit information.
- Leads the Credit Team to ensure timely issuance of monthly/quarterly reports, reserve recommendations, Global Exposure Report, and credit portfolio reports.
- Leads preparation of ad-hoc reports to support credit-related business intelligence activities.
- Participates in discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Solves complex questions and challenges.
What we need from you be part of this story:
- +4 years of experience in credit analysis and due diligence.
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field (Finance, Economics, Accounting).
- Preferred Industries: Experience in credit approval of commercial loans in a financial institution is desired.
- Upper intermediate level of English is a must and knowledge in Portuguese is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge and advanced skills in Excel or Access.
- Proficient in financial analysis.
- Experience communicating financial performance, providing risk conclusions, and suggesting collateral instruments (is a plus).
- Must be an excellent team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Self-driven, independent thinker.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Strong relationship building skills and a highly professional “client service orientation".
