As part of the Shared Technology Services organization, you’ll join a passionate group of technologists addressing complex, enterprise-wide challenges in dynamic, high-impact environment. Whether we’re supporting productions, managing data centers, or ensuring system reliability, our teams provide world-class foundational services to a diverse set of technology stakeholders across the company’s businesses.
We are seeking a Project Manager to support cross-functional initiatives and ensure operational excellence. This role combines project management, agile methodology, and technical expertise to drive impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:
Project manage concurrent technology initiatives with moderate complexity throughout their lifecycle. Responsible for completing project intake, support requirements definition, complete charter and scope definition, develop project plans, determine resource capacity allocations, support resource assignment, execute projects, and conduct post-mortems.
Manage tasks and resources through waterfall, scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
Prioritize and escalate critical operational tasks, execute project work plans, and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Manage day-to-day activities for team members, ensuring blockers are removed, and team throughput is maximized.
Lead sprint ceremonies, including planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and reporting.
Develop and maintain project documentation and artifacts in a clear and accessible manner.
Establish, track, and report on project progress (key tasks and milestones), risks, and issues to engineering management, program management, and stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate project risks.
Monitor resource time tracking and identify staffing needs to optimize project delivery.
Leverage business intelligence applications (e.g., PowerBI) for executive reporting; utilize KPIs to assess program, project, sprint planning, and resource velocity health; and lead corrective actions as required.
Run Portfolio Reviews that provide executive leadership with progress and risk assessments against pillar objectives and key results, portfolio and project health, and resource utilization.
Lead quarterly planning that establishes quarterly priorities, objectives and key results (OKRs), capacity plans, and key performance metrics that will be used to measure progress, health, and risk throughout the quarter.
Establish and track OKRs to align project outcomes with organizational goals.
Lead quarterly portfolio planning and project road mapping, including resource capacity planning and defining objectives and key results (OKRs)
Create workflow diagrams to identify opportunities for streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
Apply analytics and critical thinking to identify team inefficiencies and risk areas and implement projects or processes to streamline and improve operations
Understand the needs and intricacies of the team, from both an engineering and a business perspective, to knowledgeably provide recommendations and next steps.
Stakeholder management (Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including tech lead, executives, and vendors)
Deliver clear, engaging presentations and business cases to drive decision-making.
Develop technology roadmaps that reflect the organization's technical strategies and objectives.
Maintain KPI dashboards related to program metrics.
Must Haves:
3+ years of experience in technical project management, utilizing waterfall and agile methodology.
3+ years of experience managing a diverse portfolio of projects reflecting a wide range of technologies, complexities, and duration.
Experience in helping manage cross-functional technical teams, including architects, infrastructure and data center engineers, software developers, system reliability engineers, storage engineers and/or audio and visual engineers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks, organizing and prioritizing work effectively, in a constantly evolving and rapidly changing environment.
Experience in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet) and process mapping tools (e.g., LucidChart).
Demonstrated ability to status programs and projects to executives using LucidChart, Miro, and PowerPoint.
Strong communication (oral, written, and visual), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong meeting facilitation skills and effective team player.
Nice to Haves:
Experience working in media, entertainment, or production environments.
Certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master (CSM).
Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Atlassian Suites, and Airtable.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $106,900 to $143,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
