Note: This role is currently based in Santa Monica, CA, but will be moving to Burbank, CA at some point during the ’25 calendar year with an exact date to be determined.

Hulu is seeking a Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our Partner Marketing team. In this role, you will oversee our editorial marketing efforts across devices (e.g. Smart TV, connected devices, gaming consoles, DMVPDs) and manage our marketing strategies and campaigns with strategic wholesale, enterprise and distribution partners. You will leverage the Hulu brand, content, and promotional offers to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention through various platforms and partnerships. The ideal candidate led all aspects of a marketing campaign, from planning to execution, has direct people management experience and an in-depth understanding of the digital distribution landscape and partnerships. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who wants to be at the forefront of a growing media channel and someone who can help spur innovation and mutually beneficial opportunities with partners that deliver on critical business goals. This is a highly collaborative role which will work closely with colleagues across Hulu marketing, Disney and with high profile external partners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships across device, wholesale and enterprise partners, outline partnerships strategy and business plans to achieve key business goals across subscriber growth, engagement and awareness.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with partners and lead partner marketing campaign creation, execution and post-launch assessment.
  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance with contractual marketing agreements across all partner marketing efforts.
  • Represent the team in meetings and negotiations with partners and serve as lead for wholesale partner relationships. Develop a strategic roadmap inclusive of key milestones, performance benchmarks and pathways to campaign optimization.
  • Directly manage one marketing coordinator, providing day-to-day guidance, mentorship and professional development support.
  • Provide senior Hulu & Disney Streaming marketing leadership, internal stakeholders and external partners with campaign updates including metrics, data, qualitative & quantitative analysis to ensure partnerships are driving progress towards strategic business goals.
  • Serve as primary Hulu marketing liaison to Platform Distribution, Business Development, Engagement and Retention and relevant internal stakeholders; represent Hulu marketing interests in distribution and wholesale deal negotiations. 
  • Manage quarterly business reviews and implement long-lead planning processes that unlock opportunities for Hulu participation in upcoming partner milestones and new product features/launches; identify new, mutually beneficial ways to collaborate and maximize awareness for Hulu priorities across partner channels/platforms.
  • Own business plans and budgets around partnership agreements, marketing campaigns and relevant operational costs.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the partnership marketing team.

WHAT TO BRING

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 5+ years of work experience; prior experience working in Partnership Marketing or a general management/marketing at consumer facing brand is a must.
  • Excellent partner relationship management skills, ability to align interests and construct breakthrough “win-win” opportunities that meet Hulu and partner goals.
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects in a dynamic, highly matrixed environment. Must be very organized, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and pay special attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and very collaboratively
  • Excellent strategic planning skills, ability to switch between creative projects and strategic/analytical tasks with ease.
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals, meet deadlines, and successfully manage multiple assignments.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Prior people leadership experience
  • Prior experience in entertainment/related industry
  • Prior experience in media buying on devices

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience


The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica/Burbank, CA is $103,500.00 to $138,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
